I’m not the kind of person who buys new apps all the time. Probably the main reason for this is that I don’t feel like I have time. If I do have time, looking at apps is not at the top of my list of things to do. I’m just happy when I can have my house semi-picked up and have clean laundry for everyone. However, there are a few newer fashion apps (new to me) that have caught my eye, and I would like to share them with you.
Style Thief: This is an app that allows you to take a picture of an article of clothing, and it will then search through an on-line library of clothes and find where you can purchase either the same piece of clothing or something similar. I’m not sure if I would be able to pull-off discreetly snapping a picture of someone wearing something that I liked. Ask my husband, and he will tell you that there is absolutely no way that I would be able to be nonchalant enough to pull it off. So this app might work better for those of you who are a little smoother than I am. The app also has a way to search for items by typing in key words (probably the better way to go for me) that I’ve already found helpful. I had been looking for a particular style of leggings with no success, but with Style Thief I found them!
Spring - Go Shopping: This is a shopping app that lets you shop all types of brands including luxury brands, fast fashion, and emerging designers right from your phone. It’s a great way to check out some of the new lines and designers out there. They even have secret sample sales just for Spring users. It could be dangerous to be able to buy so quickly, but if you can keep your impulse purchases in check, it can be great for some fun finds.
Wanelo: This app is actually a social network of over 350,000 stores. It allows you to search and follow your favorite stores all in one place. There are millions of users who search, post and favorite products each day. When you see things you like, you can go directly to the retailer’s site to purchase it. I like it because, instead of having to search and go to several of my favorite stores’ sites, I can just look at Wanelo. It saves me time! They also have all sorts of other ways to search for products, so if you want to see what’s been trending with other Wanelo users you can find that out too. Nordstrom has even created a page on their website to show what is trending from Nordstrom on Wanelo.
Poachit: This app allows you to track items you have selected and it will notify you when it goes on sale. It even lets you scan the barcodes of items and can track prices of the item at various on-line stores. It’s a great way to save some money! Especially on some higher dollar purchases.
So, if you feel inclined, check out some of these apps. If you use them properly, they can potentially save you some serious time and money!
